Advisory Board Meeting Saturday, October 13, 2018 In an effort to increase alumni involvement in teaching and learning activities, FTI Usakti Informatics Engineering Study Program, invited alumni representatives to provide input for curriculum improvement.

The event took place in room AE702 starting at 9:00 and was opened by Vice Dean I of academic affairs of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Mrs. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo’s .

This event was attended by approximately 20 alumni from several generations who already have real experience in employment both as entrepreneurs, start-up founders, and managers. The alumni provide many proposals that are useful for the improvement of the lecture process in the Informatics Engineering Study Program, based on the experience of interacting with many stakeholders.

Alumni provide advice for students who are still active, to equip themselves with basic knowledge such as Operating Systems, Databases, Statistics, and Programming. In addition, soft skills are also important, among others, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, teamwork, honesty and integrity, and the ability to adapt in the environment of information technology development is very fast.

Alumni, Study Programs, and Associations are committed to continue to synergize to realize various positive activities so that Informatics Engineering graduates are able to compete in the field of employment after graduation.
